Comprehensive Plan
The City of Corning last adopted a Comprehensive Plan in 2002. We are currently undergoing an update process and are seeking public input. The project is being completed with funding provided by the New York State Department of State Environmental Protection Fund through a Smart Growth Comprehensive Planning Grant. Please check this webpage and the Notices tab of the City's website for opportunities to participate when they become available.
What is Comprehensive Planning?
The Comprehensive Plan is the culmination of a planning process that establishes the official land use policy of a community and presents goals and a vision for the future that guides official decision-making. Comprehensive Planning is set for in New York State Statute.

- Safe, Accessible, and Well Planned Public Spaces
- Green Buildings, Energy Efficiency, and Renewal Energy
