Comprehensive Plan

The City of Corning last adopted a Comprehensive Plan in 2002.  We are currently undergoing an update process and are seeking public input. The project is being completed with funding provided by the New York State Department of State Environmental Protection Fund through a Smart Growth Comprehensive Planning Grant. What is Comprehensive Planning?

The Comprehensive Plan is the culmination of a planning process that establishes the official land use policy of a community and presents goals and a vision for the future that guides official decision-making. Comprehensive Planning is set for in New York State Statute.
