Economic Development Strategy

In recent years, the City of Corning has undertaken several strategic planning initiatives to promote economic growth in the region. Despite the substantial amount of regional economic development planning, the City had never developed a City-wide economic development strategy.

To address its economic development needs, the City engaged TIP Strategies, an Austin based consulting firm to help develop a 10-15 year plan.  The resulting strategy, adopted by the City Council, outlines a set of goals to increase private-sector investment, business development, and job creation in Corning.  A copy of the plan is posted below:
