The City of Corning Police Department, established in 1890, is committed to providing the highest possible level of professional enforcement to the citizens of and visitors to the City of Corning.
The principal mission of the Corning Police Department is to preserve the rights of citizens and to foster confidence in their well being through the prevention of crime, protection of persons and property, and the maintenance of order in public places. It is also part of that mission to anticipate and respond to events that threaten harm to the public order, to life and to property.
The fair and impartial enforcement of local, state and federal laws will aid the department in its efforts in accomplishing this goal. We will perform our duties with a view toward promoting public understanding of, and confidence in, our efforts in law enforcement.
